The public is cordially invited to all our Adult Education programs. For more information, call the church office at (401) 245-2218.

adult bible study

The Adult Bible Study class meets at 8:45 a.m. for an hour each Sunday before worship. Class members share leadership on a rotating basis, using The Present Word series as a study focus. There are 10-15 participants, and conversation is always lively!

book & film study

Our successful Book & Film Study for adults is in its third year. All film viewings and book discussions are at 7:00 p.m. The schedule for 2008 was:

January 17  Babette’s Feast (1987), a film based on a story by Isak Dinesen

February 21  Lying Awake (2000), a novel by Mark Salzman

March 18  The Crucible (1996), a film starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Winona Ryder

April 24  J.B. (1952), a verse drama by Archibald MacLeish

May 22  Becket (1964), a film starring Peter O’Toole and Richard Burton

June 19  Go Tell It on the Mountain (1953), a novel by James Baldwin

senior lunch bunch – tuesday talks at noon

Enjoy great food, conversation, and presentations by a variety of lunch speakers! Lunch includes fresh salads, casseroles, sandwiches, soups, beverages, and desserts. Past speakers have talked about everything from firefighting to a tour of Italian cathedrals. We've even gone on a cruise together!

Upcoming Lunch Bunch dates for 2008 are Sept 16, Oct 21, Nov 18, and Dec 9. For 2009 the dates are Jan 13, Feb 10, Mar 17, Apr 21, and May 12. T o reserve a spot, call our office at (401) 245-2218.
